Overview of the Main Parts.

  1. Quick bar

    When you first open koppieOS, the interface is as shown in the image, featuring a quick bar and a default avatar that appears on the main desktop.

  2. Avatar

    The dynamic sphere that appears on the main monitor when opened is the default avatar.

  3. Wallpaper

    The entire window is actually a wallpaper, but upon initial opening, it's in an unset state, still the original wallpaper. Subsequently, you can configure it in the settings.

  4. Chat bar

    You can open the Chat bar by using the default shortcut Option/Alt+S.

First Steps

A couple of things you should try out to familiarize yourself with koppieOS:

  1. Search for an application using the quick access bar, then use the up or down arrow keys to select which application you want, and press Enter to launch it.

  2. In the quick bar, you can also quickly ask questions to a large model. Simply enter your question and hit Enter, and you'll receive the answer you're looking for. Additionally, the answers can be saved and displayed separately on your desktop.

  3. The basic keyboard shortcuts are Option/Alt+Space to bring up the quick bar, and Option/Alt+S to open the Chat bar. You can customize the shortcuts you need in the settings.

  4. In the Chat bar, you can chat similarly to using an instant messaging application, switch between large language models (LLMs), and we support local LLMs. For more information, please refer to the Chat bar documentation.

  5. Responses from large models can be made into desktop stickies, directly displayed on the desktop. They can be persistently stored locally and modified.

  6. You can modify the avatar in the settings, and we plan to support user-customized avatars in the future.

  7. You can change the wallpaper in settings, and we will support spatial wallpapers in future updates.
